In August 2004 3D perception launched their latest
addition to the CompactView Clan of Image Warping and Edge Blending
projectors,
the CompactView SX25+I and SX25+E. As with previous models in the
series, these projectors are specifically designed to support multi-image
projection onto curved screens. To achieve outstanding results
and performance in multi channel installations, a key focus during
design of CompactView Clan projectors has been image warping (non
linear image mapping), edge blending and colour matching. CompactView
SX25+I and SX25+E allow users to enjoy the very latest technologies
such as the 1400 x 1050 single chip DLP technology,
up to 2500 ANSI lumens brightness, contrast of 2500:1 and 28
dB silence, all available in these incredibly compact 3.3 kg projectors.
The picture quality of this new generation of projectors is equally
comparable with larger and more expensive alternatives available
on the market. As with all 3D perception projectors, the well-reputed
CompactControl software tool is used to control image warping,
edge blending functionality
and colour matching during set-up and adjustment of the projection
theatre. The warping and edge blending feature is delivered as
an integral part of the CompactView SX25+ I, whereas with CompactView
SX25+ E it is an external feature achieved by connecting the
projectors to the well-tried and well-proven CompactUTM Zer0 or
CompactUTM
Basic. These latter solutions offer a highly responsive and swift
set-up and adjustment functionality. All models currently have
2 different lens options, the standard (1:1) wide-angle lens
and the (1.75-2.25:1) intermediate throw
lens. The CompactView Clan represents the latest in projection
technology for seamless, multi-image projection onto curved screens.
These
projectors combine the 3D perception Digital Geometry Processor
(patented) and the Texas Instruments DLP™ technology into
a fully digital, high performance and highly compact projector. Unique Functions
- Non-linear Image Warping
- Multisided Soft Edge Blending
- Colour Matching
- Gamma Correction
- Lamp power control
