Concurrent's Redhawk Selected by Mitsubishi Heavy Industry
for Japanese Naval Defense

Concurrent to Support Time-Critical Simulation Applications for Japanese Defense Agency

(DULUTH, GA and TOKYO, September 18, 2006) -- Concurrent (NASDAQ: CCUR), a leading provider of time-critical Linux(R) operating systems and integrated computer solutions for mission-critical applications, today announced that the Nagoya Aerospace Systems Works division of Mitsubishi Heavy Industry, Ltd. (MHI), a worldwide leader in heavy machinery manufacturing based in Japan, has selected Concurrent products for use in SH-60K Patrol Helicopter Team Trainer (PHTT) simulators. Concurrent 's iHawk? systems powered by RedHawk Linux will be used for the new SH-60K patrol helicopter currently being developed for the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force.

The SH-60K PHTT simulators will serve as training platforms for the new SH-60K variant of the Seahawk helicopter, which is carried onboard a destroyer , and equipped to carry out versatile missions, such as anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, surveillance, transport, and rescue operations. MHI's demanding requirement to capture RGB graphics at extremely high rates led MHI to choose Concurrent technology for its real-time processing capabilities, open architecture design and reliability in meeting tight deployment schedules.
